Additionally, GPU operates its own photographic distinctions scheme, where photographers collect points from acceptances, mentions and awards in international exhibitions (CROWN and VIP distinctions) or by submitting their own portfolio and gaining titles (Aphrodite, Hermes, Zeus and the recently added highest title of Grand Master).

Moreover, GPU provides patronage to international salons. To date, over 1500 international photography competitions have been conducted under the prestigious patronage of GPU. Within its activities agenda GPU implements a photography related donation program to several institutions, seminars, webinars, workshops and photographic exhibitions worldwide. It issues its own printed magazine on an annual base and printed photo book in biannual base. Both are distributed to its members worldwide.

Our track record includes successful co operations with governmental and non profitable entities of different countries all for the sake and promotion of photographic art worldwide.

At this point we would like to bring your attention to a significant undertaking within our organization – the biannual GPU Photo Festival.

Since its inception in 2013, this event has been a central activity hosted by the GPU.

The primary objectives of this festival are to provide our members with the opportunity to capture exceptional photographs, foster new connections, and strengthen existing relationships. The GPU photo festivals have been successfully hosted in a series of countries, namely Italy, Turkey, Morocco, Greece, Romania, and Kyrgyzstan.

It is noteworthy that each of these festivals has benefitted from the invaluable backing and cooperation of their respective host governments. This collaboration with host governments has played a pivotal role in the successful execution of these events, underlining their significance as international cultural and artistic celebrations.

تؤدي مهمة GPU ورؤيتها في الترويج لفن التصوير الفوتوغرافي إلى بذل جهود دؤوبة لاستكشاف أفكار جديدة تؤدي إلى تلك النتائج.

GPU mission and vision of promoting photographic art leads to tireless efforts of exploring new ideas that lead to that results.


So lately, a significant undertaking took place within our organization – GPU exhibition centers. A GPU exhibition center is a dedicated space within a hall that focuses on cultural promotion, established in collaboration with local authorities in the host country. This recent initiative of our association aims to promote the art of photography, by organizing 1-2 annual GPU members’ exhibitions along with another series of photographic events such as lectures and workshops open to every visitor and free of charge.

Over the past year, GPU has successfully established the following GPU Exhibition Centers:

• a) at the National History Museum of Bucovina, Suceava, Romania
• b) at Karolyi Castle, Carei, Romania and
• c) at the Shangtuf Image and Art Club in Taizhou, China.

More exhibition centers are yet to come.
